BISP alumna Rachel Peters was crowned Miss Universe Philippines in April this year and is now competing for the coveted title of Miss Universe in Las Vegas this Sunday (November 26, 2017).

The 25-year-old Filipino-British beauty queen attended BISP from 2003 – 2010 and went on to receive a Bachelor of Business, Tourism and Events from La Trobe University in Australia.

During the pageant, Rachel shared a heartfelt positive message of unity, hope, diversity and respect to leaders of the ASEAN, saying she believed that one of the biggest problems today is divisiveness in politics, religion and culture and that she wished world leaders would address this issue across the globe.

​As a result of wining the Miss Philippines Pageant, Rachel received a full scholarship and management contract. She was also named the Philippines Long Distance Telephone Company’s newest ambassador.
