Sam McInnes placed 2nd in Category and 3rd female overall in the Singapore Metasprint Aquathlon on Sunday February 12.
“Sam continues to build upon an already impressive list of achievements,” BISP Triathlon Head Coach Zane Castro stated after seeing her results.
“As the athletes within BISP’s programme mature in age and physical growth, the need for expanded training consistency plays greater purpose. Sam is an absolute pleasure to work with, she is happy, optimistic and courageous. She has a number of strengths that will serve her well over time in this sport and she will achieve her goals undoubtably.”
Sam recently received a starting position from UK Sports and Scotland in the Junior Elite Category Asian Cup ITU race in Subic Bay this approaching April, undoubtably one of her focal points.
