Most of us can benefit from a little help and guidance as we move through our lives. Perhaps we experience some difficulty that is hard to overcome, or we just need someone to talk with to help us think things through. This is why the BISP Counselling Department is in place to help you.
It is well known that our social and emotional wellbeing, as well as our physical wellbeing, is important if we are to be content and successful in our lives. The BISP Counselling Department is established to support our whole community – students, parents, and staff – in issues concerning mental wellbeing.
The Counselling Department is one part of BISP’s holistic support structure, delivering the PHSE curriculum, and providing pastoral care and education for the BISP community.
The BISP Counselling Department works within strict laws and guidelines that support confidentiality. Please see separate information sheet below for further information.
The Counselling Department’s aims include:
– To provide support for individuals and groups for students, parents, families, and staff.
– To educate on and raise awareness of mental health issues, to promote wellbeing and resilience, and to reduce stigma in matters relating to mental health.
Please do get in touch if you feel you require support. The Counselling Department is here to help you.
