Last Saturday 2 April, the British International School, Phuket (BISP) community rallied to raise money for the football tour of Portugal where, from 28 June to 3 July, boys and girls teams from the BISP Cruzeiro Football Academy sides will take part in the 2016 Iber Cup.

For the fundraising drive, senior students washed cars in the Primary car park, and held one-on-one coaching sessions all morning, raising an amazing total of THB20,500 Altogether there were 55 cars washed, 30 coaching sessions, and 33 additional donations.

Added to this total is the more than THB20,000 raised to date by the amazing parent team at Rainbow Shakes, who are selling their excellent fruit shakes and milk shakes (THB100 each), and protein shakes (THB150) in the Sports Hall foyer, Monday to Friday, from 2.30pm to 5pm until the end of term. “I would just like to say a massive thank you to everyone involved in our Portugal fundraising events last weekend,” says BISP Cruzeiro Football Academy Director Richard Stockings.

“The support from our community was amazing and shows what a great team ethic we have at the school. A special thanks to all the lovely ladies who are working tirelessly behind the scenes, you are awesome. Finally to our Portugal players, you were fabulous ambassadors on Saturday and we are proud of you all.”
