The first game against Rom Klaow was a 3-0 victory in the quarter final with goals from Anthony Simpson and Oliver McLean-High. Excellent unselfish performances from Sebastian Lamantia, Lucca Sen and Timofei Alexandrov in this game ensured no goals were conceded by ensuring vital tackles were made and chances set up for the goals.

The semi-final now loomed and this was against Bon Kai Youth who had stepped up their game from the previous day. This game went to extra time and 5 v 5 and eventually 3 v 3. The final moments of this game were epic with Anthony Simpson scoring an incredible golden goal to win the game to progress to the final.

The final game was a very tight, close game against JSSL Wilshere who were a very strong and organised team. BIS Cruzeiro took the early initiative with Oliver Mclean-High hitting the post in the opening minutes and other chances just slipping away from the team. The opposition then scored an unfortunate free kick from distance and then another goal to seal their win.

Overall, the weekend was an amazing experience for these boys who played their hearts out in every game. They conducted themselves as professionals at all times and played some beautiful football and all have very bright futures ahead of them. Their behaviour and gamesmanship was exemplary and I congratulate every single one of them. They played 8 games against very strong competition and won 7 of these.

A final thanks to all parents who supported this team over the weekend in Bangkok. This was fantastic to see and surely inspired these boys to so many of their victories.

We are already looking forward to next year.
