On March 31st, BISP hosted a Phuket Gymnastics competition designed to give gymnasts of all levels a chance to perform and compete in a fun and friendly atmosphere, to give them a taste of competitive gymnastics. Parents came to support their children and see what they have learnt over the past few months.

The 25 gymnasts, aged 5 – 11 years, started training in artistic gymnastics this year, and have shown a lot of progress during this short time.
The competition comprised of floor routines and vaulting. The floor routine involved a sequence of moves such as forward rolls, cartwheels and walkovers. Squad gymnasts also completed advanced tumbles such as handsprings and roundoff flicks.

“We are very proud of all our gymnasts for their hard work, progress and how supportive they were of each other during the event. Everyone had fun and a lot of medals were won,” said Lauren Ault, Programme Co-ordinator at Phuket Gymnastics.
