On Tuesday April 3rd, the Flying Fish hosted their 4th Club Champs swim meet here at the British International School, Phuket. Weather was bright and sunny with no clouds in the sky for our Swordfish, Dolphins, Sharks, and Squad swimmers. This meet included 100m and 200m of each of the 4 strokes, and gave our younger swimmers an opportunity to test themselves against Narwhal, Kraken and Megladon squad athletes. Previous meets have focused on specific strokes, with this one bringing them all together for the longer events.
Each swim earns the swimmers points that are collected over the 5 Club Champ meets throughout the school year. The point scores are close, with BISP Coach Tony noting: “The team really is looking strong in all strokes from learn to swim right the way up to the squads. Team pride and atmosphere here is really special. Parents and athletes were very engaged, and we could really see a big focus on details that will take our athletes far in and out of the water. “
Also, don’t forget to see our team in action against 17 schools and 400 visiting swimmers from as far as Dubai and China, when they compete at the BISP Flying Fish Invitational, May 4th-6th here on campus.
