BISP is excited to offer horse riding and stable management to students as an after-school activity. This activity is in cooperation with Phuket Mountain Horse Riding.
The activity will consist of 60 minutes riding, 45-60 minutes practical or theoretical stable management, a snack and a complimentary drink. The centre has approved safety helmets and safety vests, and these must be worn throughout the riding activity. The stable management activity will include fun activities where students will learn more about the horse and its care
The activity costs THB700 per session, including insurance up to THB500,000 (personal accident) and THB250,000 (accident medical expenses). The cost is THB4,200 (6 sessions) per half term. Cash payment is made on the first day of the activity to the stables. Transport return trip from BISP is at a cost of THB200 per student payable to BISP.
The activity will be on Tuesdays (Secondary) and Thursdays (Primary). The maximum number of participants is 10 students per day. The bus leaves at 3pm from school and returns at 6.30pm.
Students should wear long pants that protect legs, or jodhpurs, covered boots/shoes, preferably with a heel, or wellington boots, T-shirt or long sleeved top. All levels of ability are welcome, but the riders may not weigh more than 95kg.
To register for this activity, students should contact the Primary Office (Primary students) or register on the activity form (Secondary students). Parents/guardians have to fill in this contact and transport form.
If students are interested, they may wish to attend an ‘Open Day’ at the stables on 30th of August between 10am -12 noon. Directions to the stables are: From Central Festival, follow the road towards Chalong Circle. Just after the Phuket Football Club training ground, opposite the TOT building, at the traffic lights, turn right and follow the road towards Villa Zolitude resort, keeping to the left. You will see the stables on your right.
