September 21st is globally recognised as ‘Peace One Day’, intended to promote peace worldwide for 24 hours. The Year 7 students researched this event in Year 6 and were instrumental in making sure it was on this year’s BISP calendar.
To celebrate the day the Year 7 students sang a piece about peace and then helped to plant a tree in the grounds, which will remain a lasting feature of the event and can be used in future years.
Joined by the Head boy, Head Girl and deputies, Year 7 students joined together to celebrate this occasion. All students and parents were also invited to join in with the creation of a BISP tree on a canvas with leaves created from all of our fingerprints.
We look forward to next year and further initiatives to promote this cause. BISP leads the way in promoting this event within Thailand.
