BISP RPT Tennis Academy Head Coach Lee Austrin has been appointed as the RPT National Director of Thailand, a role that he will combine with his duties at British International School, Phuket (BISP).
RPT, or Registro Profesional de Tenis, was founded in Spain in 1989 and has become a global leader dedicated to providing educational programmes and comprehensive services to professional tennis coaches, academies and clubs, with the aim of training and developing better people for a better world through tennis.
With over 20,500 certified coaches in 121 countries, the RPT is also responsible for promoting the sport at all levels by organising events, tournaments, competitions, clinics and educational activities for around the world. The RPT is part of the International Coaches Institute.
In his new capacity, Coach Lee will be attending the RPT Annual Conference in Valencia, Spain over the weekend of 24 October. The conference is held alongside the ATP Valencia Open and has over the past few years become a major event for RPT coaches. The key note speaker for the conference will be renowned coach Nick Bollettieri as well as contributions from Juan Carlos Ferrero, Tony Cascales and RPT Founder Luis Mediero.
Over the past couple of years the RPT have continued to grow internationally and partnerships have been developed with a number of key people around the world. This is the first time all of the RPT National Directors will attend the conference, where they will help outline RPT’s plans and vision for the future, and to involve all of their key partners – including the BISP RPT Tennis Academy – in establishing their future plans and activities.
