Four promising players from the British International School, Phuket’s BISP RPT Tennis Academy competed in the Phuket Schools Tennis Tournament last weekend (15-16 August 2015): Kim in Year 7, Ken Year 5, Kevin Year 9 and Birdy in Year 2.

They all did very well, with Kim finishing 3rd in the 12 & Under event, Ken finished 3rd in the 10 & Under event, and Kevin finishing runner up in the 16 & Under event playing one age group up, and including three good U16 players at national level. Kevin lost a close final 7-9.

Birdy also deserves a special mention as at just 6 years old was competing against children aged 2 years older and much more experienced. After a good and relatively comfortable run to the final he lost 8-1 to a boy aged 8, who has been playing for 3 years and is ranked No. 1 in Southern Thailand, and inside the top 3 in the whole of Thailand. Congratulations to all the BISP players.
