BISP RPT Tennis Academy player Turquoise came 3rd in the U14 Girls category.

Well done to the British International School, Phuket BISP RPT Tennis Academy players that took part in last weekend’s LTAT Junior Tournament (Round 1 South) National Level 4, at the City Hall tennis courts in Phuket Town: Eloise, Turquoise, Anatoly, Hugo, Kevin, James, Chathu and Vichi.

U10: Winner Vichi – cruised to a 4-1, 4-0 victory in the final

U12 Boys: Chathu met No. 1 seed and Thailand’s No. 3 player in the quarterfinals. After a hard fought match Chathu lost out 1-4, 4-2 & 3-10 in the deciding super tiebreaker.

U14 Girls: Turquoise finished an impressive 3rd after losing in the semi-finals again during a hard fought match. 4-6, 6-3 & 6-10 in the deciding super tiebreaker.

U16 Girls & U16 Boys: Eloise, Anatoly & Hugo all were defeated in the first round but fought hard and are continuing to gain vital match experience.

U16 Boys: Kevin reached his first level 4 final before losing out to a very good player, 0-6, 2-6. Many games went to deuce and the score line is not a reflection of the match. Kevin was very pleased with his performances.

U18 Boys: 13 year-old James was the winner. In the final, James’ opponent was forced to retire making James champion.

BISP RPT Tennis Academy Head Coach Lee Austrin says, “Overall this was a great success for BISP students and we are now being recognised as having a strong tennis team.

“We are now focused on this weekend’s BISP Tennis 4s competition, with 15 and 13 year old events against Bangkok Patana, St Andrews Bangkok, and Harrow Bangkok. Good luck to all our players!”
