The combined school staff played a student team from Years 10-13 on Friday 13 March in a game of cricket. The match was played in excellent spirit and very fitting with the current cricket World Cup taking place.

The game began with the teachers batting and students doing the leg work on a sunny afternoon. Both innings opened with spectacular catches one from Danny Pedroni to dismiss Mr Ferrier (a well known Australian cricket legend) and Mr Lucas to dismiss the student opening bat.

Jordan, Sabah and George Green played exceptionally well but were thwarted by the efforts of Mr Seves batting, Mr Greene’s wicket keeping and the indomitable Mr Langley from Little Ducks.

An excellent afternoon resulted in a 30 run win for the staff side over Mr Evan’s student team, who didn’t play badly himself, with everyone already talking about the next game.
