It is with great pleasure that we announce outstanding achievements by British International School, Phuket (BISP) students in the recent Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music examinations.

In their practical exams, Year 10 student Daichi Iwashita, Grade 1 piano (studying with Miss Ying), and India Wilson (Y9), Grade 5 violin, (studying with Siobhan McGovern) both gained Distinctions.

Rather incredibly, in the same session India also sat the Grade 5 theory exam, along with Rica Ueda (Y11) and Tanylle Ashenden (Y11), a very challenging written paper testing students’ musical knowledge.

India scored a Distinction in this exam as well, as did Rica and Tanylle a very high Merit. Well done all of you – the hours of practice and study have paid off!
