bisp student top in thailand 2018 19 1 Just before Christmas last year, two British International School, Phuket Year 12 students, Ping Ping and Prad, were invited to Bangkok to be presented the High Achievement Award certificates for achieving exceptional scores (best marks in Thailand) in their IGCSE Mathematics examinations.

The Top in Thailand Awards ceremony was held in Harrow International School Bangkok and brought together the best students from across the country to celebrate their achievements. The students were accompanied by Mr. Simon Meredith, Secondary Principal at BISP, who stated: “Ping Ping and Prad were excellent ambassadors for the school and represented us proudly. It is fitting that their mathematical ability is rewarded and I encourage all students to achieve this level in academics.”

It was an experience that I will never forget!” Meanwhile, Prad remarked, “It was the most nervous moment of my life, but also one of my proudest moments.”

Both students have continued their studies with the school, opting to do the extremely challenging IB Mathematics Higher Level course. Ping Ping has recently also achieved a Grade A in IGCSE Additional Mathematics – another impressive achievement.  Well done to both students.
