We are proud to announce that BISP swimmer Roxanne Yu, who achieved three qualifying times set by the International Olympic Committee and the international swimming federation, FINA, has been selected to represent the Philippines at the 2nd Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing this summer.

There’s a longer story to be told but the long and short of it is that she has now entered the ranks of the new breed of Olympians!

Let’s us not forget that two other outstanding young BISP swimmers, Kirsten Chloe Daos and Jethro Chua also achieved the qualifying times but because of the strict quota of only 400 swimmers in this Youth Olympic Games they fell slightly below the number that they needed to be there.

What is clear is that they are all world-class swimmers and definitely champions, young and in the making.
