He will be swimming 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke as well as 200m Individual Medley.
“I’m super excited to be a part of something as big as this – for a young athlete like me it is a great opportunity to go and understand how elite events are carried out and the athletes who participate in them,” says Sam as he prepares to head to the games.
Sam has been closely working with BISP Head Swim Coach Colin Braund in preparation for the Commonwealth Games.
“Thanks to Coach Colin I’m feeling ready to give it my all in the competition. I’m eager to do my personal best times in my breaststroke events and aim for a national record for Seychelles. I’m also looking forward to meet other elite athletes and be able to share this great experience with them.”
We at British International School, Phuket wish Sam good luck at the games.
