BISP Teacher running 2018Michele Hossack, Primary Teacher at BISP, recently travelled to Perth in Western Australia to compete in the Australian Masters Athletics Championships and won Gold, Silver and Bronze medals there.

During the four day event Michele competed in the 300m hurdles, the 80m hurdles, the 400m, the 200m, the pentathlon and both the 4 x 100m relay and the 4 x 400m relay.

This was her first competition since recovering from a serious injury early in 2017 and her first run over the hurdles in 18 months.
Michele’s gold medal in the 300m hurdles in a time of 51.69 is a world lead in her age group for 2018, and puts her in a good position as she prepares for the world championships in Malaga, Spain, later this year, where she will compete in the four individual events for Australia.
Her other results in the individual races were silver in the 200m, the 400m and the 80m hurdles, and a bronze medal in the pentathlon.
