BISP runners for the Phuket Night RunSota with his award

The BISP track club, which is made up of students, teachers and parents, ended January with a bang. Saturday night January 28th was the Phuket Night Run, which is a local road running race in Phuket town with distances of 3.6km, 5.2km and 11.5km. BISP had stand out performances by student Sota who won his age group; teacher Alistair Lawson who was second in his age group; and parents Michelle Clowes and Jenny Diamond who placed in their age groups. Not finished there, the Sunday morning saw the Sri Sunthon mini-marathon with race distances of 4.5km and 10.5km, with more great results including teacher Gilly Notley placing 3rd in her age group. Some ambitious runners even raced both.

Not to be out done teacher Dave Dickson ran a sub 4 marathon (42km) in Khon Kaen. Well done!

It’s great to see how enthusiastic the BISP community has gotten with road racing. Keep the amazing results coming. Remember even if you didn’t place the fact you got out there is impressive.
