BISP Track Club runners Hendrik Faber (right) and Sota Maehara came 1st and 2nd
The Rotary Phuket South Charity Run 2016 was held on Sunday the 15th at Bang Wad Dam, with a strong team from the British International School, Phuket BISP Track Club taking part.
It turned out to be perfect racing conditions with the temperature being cool and the rain holding off until just after the race finished. This led to some fast times and really good performances.
Hendrik Faber and Sota Maehara were the standouts on the day; Hendrik was making his debut for the BISP Track Club and it couldn’t have gone any better for him.
Hendrik and Sota ran what can be considered the perfect race. They worked together and eventually chose the right spot to out-kick their only competitor and ended up 1st and 2nd overall respectively.
Other notable results were Theo and Jack continuing to show improvement, and Nathan Lowry completing the first 10k of his young career.
Overall it was a very good day for the BISP community, with various members coming out to race.
