It’s getting closer! The moment when your son or daughter leaves home for the first time to spread their wings at university. For almost everyone this means sending them off to another city or country, and for many this will leave a big hole in your family dynamic. Managing this well, both before they leave and when they arrive at the new place, will help everyone cope better.

In this workshop, BISP counsellors will explain what the natural progression of emotions and behaviours look like, give you tips to help you and your student prepare for this change and give you an opportunity to ask questions and share experiences with other parents going through a similar experience. Whether this is your first child, or last, each time can be different. All Year 12 and 13 parents are welcome. Please contact [email protected] for more information.

The workshop will held on Friday 2nd March 8:30am-10am in the conference room.
