Northeastern University (northeastern.edu), based in the heart of Boston, will be coming to Phuket this Saturday (September 20).

Rather than stay on campus, Careers Counsellor Martyn Rowlands and the Northeastern representative will be going out to lunch (13:00 – 15:00) with any students that sign up to attend and have the appropriate permission forms signed.

The bus will depart at 13:00 and return to school for 15:00. Dining location will be determined by how many sign up.

If students are interested in meeting an NCAA Division I school with an excellent academic record that offers international financial aid, to please see the counselling office in person to officially sign up.

Northeastern University is a private, co-educational research institution founded in 1898. The university offers a comprehensive range of undergraduate and graduate programs leading to degrees through the doctorate in nine colleges and schools.

Northeastern’s 73-acre campus is an oasis located in the heart of Boston, just minutes away from Fenway Park, shopping centres, cafes, Symphony Hall, and the Museum of Fine Arts. The campus’s green spaces are interspersed with brick walkways, outdoor art, and a sculpture garden.

Long known for its co-op programme and hands-on learning experiences, Northeastern University has set its sights on becoming one of the region’s top-tier institutions.

With a strong emphasis on combining liberal arts requirements with up to 18 months of challenging work placements, students come out of this school well rounded, well educated, and ready to take on real-world responsibilities.

According to the 2014 edition of the Fiske Guide to Colleges, Northeastern’s strongest programmes are Art, Architecture, Psychology, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Health Sciences and Criminology.

Northeastern University’s visit to BISP will take place on Saturday, September 20th.
