It is the aim that all students who attend BISP are given the opportunity to learn to play a musical instrument and to become musically literate. To achieve this aim the school ensures that there is an adequate provision of musical instruments including strings, brass and woodwind, and that mainstream lessons are devoted to instrument and ensemble tuition. In addition choral work is undertaken at every level.
Opportunities to perform are provided through activities, special performances and major events at the school. Additional specialist support, at a nominal charge, is available for individual lessons in a variety of instruments and singing. Students are given opportunities to take ABRSM or Rock School certifications in their chosen instrument.
