The school’s onsite trapeze rig is operated by Mid-Air Circus Arts (MACA), which holds regular classes for both BISP students and adults.

As far as we are aware, it’s the world’s only school-based flying trapeze rig and aerial arts programme, and BISP is the first school in the world to offer flying trapeze and aerial arts within their PE curriculum.

Founded in 2011 by Australian Adam Lambert and Ben Martin from New Zealand, MACA is the result of a shared vision formed when the two first met in 2006. Adam and Ben have over 20 years combined involvement with circus, and have performed and taught around the world.

MACA’s rigs were constructed and are operated under the highest safety standards, giving everyone a chance to safely learn and develop in circus arts and the spectacular flying trapeze.
