BISP Art Coordinator Claire Lester has a charity place in the London Marathon on 24th April and is running for Max Appeal.
In March 2008, Claire’s daughter Ruby was born with 22Q11 syndrome and Max Appeal were amazing in giving her family the support they needed.
22Q11 is a genetic syndrome that affects thousands of children every year and is often misdiagnosed. Max Appeal works with children and families affected by the syndrome to raise awareness of this condition and to ensure children receive the best possible care and opportunities life can offer.
Sadly, Claire’s daughter Ruby passed away in October 2009. She has been raising awareness and funds for 22Q ever since.
