We are looking forward to celebrating our multicultural school with parents, students and families as part of our International Day Celebrations on March 17th from 08:00-10:40.
As part of the celebrations we will host our traditional Parade of Nations. This will involve students from years 1-13 marching behind their Nation’s flag. Students in Little Ducks, Nursery and Reception will be invited to watch the parade.
Please note that according to our current data we will be organising flags for the following 60 Nations, (please do let me know if your nationality is not represented in the list below before January 30th):
Afghanistan, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Canada, China, Costa Rica, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mexico, Moldova (Republic of), Myanmar, Nepal, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Pakistan, Philippines, Poland, Romania, Russia, Seychelles, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom (England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales), United States, Vietnam and Zimbabwe.
As a reminder – on the 17th March, we will be asking all students to wear either national costume or colours. The Parade of Nations will be followed by student stage performances featuring music & dance from many different Nations. As is now tradition, we will also be inviting parents to celebrate the foods of their countries by running stalls and offering students and families an opportunity to sample a taste of traditional foods.
