Students at Key Stage 3 were celebrated in the Presentation Assembly for their LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) examinations in Spoken Communication on 9 March.
More students than in any previous year sat the examinations across Years 7, 8 and 9, and we were delighted to recognise a phenomenal pass rate!
Year 8 were the top performers with nearly half of the year group obtaining the highest award of Distinction. Notable Pass marks were achieved by some students who had only been learning English for a few months and this a real mark of their progress.
All students should be praised for their excellent attitude, preparations and performances. Our thanks to the Drama team as Mr Evans and Ms Baker ensured students were able to do so well!
We also recognised those who came highest in their respective year groups although special mention must go to Finn De Bruin who achieved first place again this year. This is the third year in a row with a third different examiner and is an incredible achievement!
Congratulations to all!
