U11 Girls Football

Friday 22nd september saw the British International School, Phuket’s U11 girls football team venture into their first game of the season against Kajonkiet International school (KIS). With an impressive 22 girls wanting to play football for the school. Needless to say, the first game was full of excitement and anticipation.

The game started with BISP putting pressure on KIS with Laura Kans on the right wing running with the ball through their defence. A little into the game, BISP had a setback with KIS scoring their first goal. This did not hinder the spirit of BISP with Eloise Stockings scoring a fantastic goal from the edge of the box. Our athletes took the lead later in the game with Ella Stephens scoring with a tap into the right corner of goal. KIS equalised with a second goal against a new defence line up for BISP, who worked hard to close down KIS in their attack. The score then went 3-2 to KIS. Towards the end of the game Eloise Stockings claimed her second goal of the game to finish the game 3-3 as a draw,

This was an exciting start of the season for the girls. Congratulations and looking forward to another game soon!
