Our first game of basketball started off with high spirits and great intensity, which took the Garden International School by surprise gaining us an early lead and then eventually winning 29-13. We then continued with that high intensity into our 2nd game against Regents Pattaya, the home team.

It was a close game as both sides were playing very tight defense. One of our players, Paul, played great defense and took an enormous ‘charge’ from the opposition. Although being knocked to the floor with great speed, he got up and played on. We then went on to win that game 26-24.

St. Andrews School Bangkok was our third game of that day and we looked to win in order to be top of our pool. It was a close game and we came out on top 30-23.

In the Semi-finals we faced Shrewsbury International school Bangkok. Our toughest game of the day. Unfortunately, we were worn out from the previous games and fell short by 10 points. This brought us to the 3rd and 4th playoffs.

Against St. Andrews Bangkok. Not letting the previous game affect us, we went in with confidence. Within the last 2 minutes of the game; the score was 23-24 to St. Andrews.

James Kang, a student in year 12 showed great heart by hustling for the ball whenever he got the chance. However, we could not tie the game fell behind by 3 points.

Archie Plunkett, year 12, made a nail-biting 3-point attempt in the last second that rattled around the rim, but then unfortunately bounced out allowing St. Andrews to win the 3rd place title.

Overall it was a great experience for our team in which we made great progress for the future. I would like to thank our coaches Mr.Blake and Mr. Bjorn Eric for guiding us throughout the tournament.

I would also like to thank my teammates for giving their best on and off the court and to Marvin Chotechuangrerngkarn as it was his last senior games with us and we would not have been the team we are today without him.
