HP Book night 2016

We are very pleased to inform you that the Primary Library will hold its Harry Potter Book Night on Thursday 4th February 2016, from 6.00pm to 8.00pm.

We are so excited to be joining up with schools, libraries, bookshops and community centres throughout the UK and Ireland and beyond to celebrate the first ever Harry Potter Book Night.

We promise you a night of wizarding fun and a chance to discover and share the magical world of Harry Potter!

More details about the event:

  • Open to all students in Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6

  • The event is free of charge but numbers are limited to 32 students maximum. Tickets will be on a first come first serve basis, but priority will be given to students who did not get a chance to participate last year.

  • Location: Primary Library, which will be specially decorated for the occasion.

  • Refreshments and some snacks will be available, but we recommend that your child should eat before the event.

  • Dress Code: wizarding robes, Harry Potter fancy dress, or any of the Harry Potter characters you would like to dress up as. There will be prizes for the 3 best costumes.

  • Activities will include: a sorting hat ceremony, quizzes, a spells contest (students should come with a wand), and a potion invention challenge.

Should you wish for your child to participate, could you please email Cindy Colson ([email protected]) with the name(s) of your child/children who will attend. You will then receive a confirmation email. Alternatively, if the event is fully booked, an email will be sent to you to let you know that your child is on the waiting list.
