‘Make a Dance in a Week’ will be a 5-day intensive programme specially designed for young people who are passionate about dance, and who would like to participate in a choreographic process and performance. Previous dance experience is not required, but an enthusiasm for dance is!
Students aged 9-18 years-old will participate in making a show and performing it in a week. Choreographers Jess Devereux and Kelly Beneforte from TRACKS, based in Darwin, Australia, will work with students during the first week of the Easter/Songkran school holidays to devise, rehearse and perform a contemporary dance work.
The 3 hour daily workshops will run along the same lines for all age groups; a technical warm-up, choreographic development and finally creating a dance composition with a focus on developing technical skills and improvisational ability while enjoying dancing and making new friends.
It is a very exciting opportunity to have such wonderful contemporary dance teachers in Phuket to work with our students. Do not miss out!
