The road to golf development begins here with the BISP Golf Academy.

With our highly experienced academy coach, Mr. Oliver Bates, the golf programme will create the full golfing experience to prepare students for higher levels of play, aiming to grow and develop our elite group that will pursue tournament play and represent the School in competitions.

The programme will integrate the complete range of golfing skills for all levels, from primary school to senior school and elite golfers. Strong emphasis will be placed on developing talent at a young age through golf skills, fitness and mental training with individualized development programs.

We also believe it is vital for students to develop their character and life skills through our professional Academy programme. Many great experiences and new skills will be learnt through a fun, competitive and professional environment.

Students attending the BISP Academy will have the opportunity to take their game to amazing heights and beginners will learn all the skills required to develop and progress to the next level. Our progressive learning system will benefit all ages and abilities and constant on ‘course’ instruction and competition will help students set high standards and goals.

Students will progress within a group training environment, although our specialized coach will develop individualized development plans for each student to improve their game and skills. Parents will be kept up to date on each student’s progress.

As a school offering world-class opportunities, we know how important each student’s experience, personality and diverse culture is in developing golfers skills and we are committed to creating the right programme to help each student reach their potential.

With the BISP golf academy growing from strength to strength, we have added two new areas to enhance our learning facility.

The new short game area and swing analysis will be opened and ready for use for all academy students in January 2016. This ground breaking design will be challenging for all levels of players and offers the chance to learn and practice all shots that are required for golf course and tournament play.

The short game area will cover putting, chipping, pitch shots from all possible slopes and surfaces. Practice bunkers will allow short sand shots from pot or regular bunkers with the pitching area providing distance control from all possible lies.

Our new T.P.I (Titleist performance Institute) programme will also commence in January. Players/ Students will be trained by T.P.I certified professionals in golf fitness, strength and conditioning and the T.P.I body swing connection. 11 out of the last 16 major championship winners and 22 of the top 35 players in the world are advised by a T.P.I certified expert.

We will also complete our netted ‘full swing’ hitting area with 2D video analysis swing software and 3D golf motion sensors to complete the full learning experience. The combination of the short game area, golf fitness, swing analysis, mental training, course management and new shot making skills will help us produce and improve golfers to the highest level possible.

High standards will be set for all golfers participating in the programme. When visiting other golf courses and training, golfing rules and etiquette will be applied at all times. Our golfing ‘team environment’ will be enjoyable but also highly professional.

There will be specific programmes that will benefit all levels of players and realistic goals and targets will be set to help players move to the next level.
