The Singapore Art Trip arrived safely yesterday afternoon. First stop was the Singapore Tyler Print Institute. Students were extremely lucky to have a guided tour of renowned Korean artist Du Ho Suh’s exhibition and a behind the scenes tour of the printing facilities of the institute. They were shown where artists spend time in residence creating artwork to exhibit.
Students were shown all printing processes including lithography and how they produced the hand made paper the work is printed on differently for each individual artist in residence. The students had the opportunity to see various artists’ works in progress. Inspired by their surroundings, the students spent time sketching and photographing works of interest.
