It was an overwhelming victory for the British International School Phuket (BISP) tennis team at the BISP Tennis 4s Tournament over the weekend.

BISP won all four divisions overall, U10, U11, U14 and U18, beating out Shrewsbury International School Bangkok, Hong Kong International School, St Andrews International School Bangkok and Marlborough College Malaysia.

Stand out performances included Mila, Justin, Ig, Ben, Mistral, Oshini and Daryl all winning singles titles. Full results can be found on the Tennis 4s web page. Click here to view the Flickr album.

The three-day Tennis 4s event saw more than 100 players from within the Asian region compete in girls’ and boys’ singles, doubles and mixed doubles.

BISP RPT Tennis Academy Head Coach, Adam Daley, says he is extremely proud of the way in which the BISP players represented the school over the weekend.

“The support and teamwork demonstrated by the BISP athletes over the duration of the tournament was outstanding. Everyone gave a full effort and there were some exciting matches over all age categories.

“It has been very satisfying for the coaches to see their hard work coming to fruition. The players are progressing very nicely and starting to be able to replicate in matches what they produce in training.”

Well done to all the participants. For more information on the BISP RPT Tennis Academy, please contact Adam Daley.
