Big Speak contest winner India W, with Ms Stockings

On January 7th our annual Year 9 Big Speak contest was held in the auditorium. Prior to the end of Term 1, students presented their original speeches in class and each set cast their votes for the two best speeches.

The six students selected gave their speeches in front of the entire Year 9 cohort and their teachers. Also on hand, to determine the winner, were a panel of judges from the English department, and our librarian, Ms. Colson. Needless to say, they had a very difficult decision to make, as all six speakers gave very persuasive, engaging speeches.

The winner of this year’s Big Speak contest and 300 baht Bake voucher was India W, whose chosen topic was prevention of cruelty to elephants in Thailand. Well done, India!
