Duana has been part of the BISP community since Year 7, growing into a student-athlete with a passion for the natural world and a clear vision for her future. She has received offers from several universities, including the University of New Hampshire, Loughborough University, University of Stirling, University of Maine, LIU Brooklyn, SLU Madrid, Wageningen University and University College Roosevelt. She plans to study Wildlife Conservation and Ecology while also competing at the NCAA Division I level.

As a high-performance swimmer and sports scholar, Duana has learned to balance elite training with academic ambition. Her experiences in boarding helped her develop independence, responsibility and resilience, all of which will support her as she enters the next stage of her journey.

Duana’s interest in conservation was shaped by her Biology and Geography classes, where she discovered a deep appreciation for the environment and the role of science in supporting sustainable communities. These subjects, along with her experiences at BISP, inspired her to pursue a path that combines environmental protection with social impact.

With a commitment to both sport and sustainability, Duana is ready to take on the challenges ahead, determined to make a difference in the world around her.
