Soumaya has been part of the BISP community for the past three years, combining her academic interests with a strong commitment to sport. She has received university offers from the University of Wyoming, the University of Nevada–Reno, and the University of Utah, where she plans to pursue studies in Chemical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering.

Throughout her time at BISP, Soumaya demonstrated perseverance, curiosity and determination. The academic rigour of the IB Diploma Programme, alongside the encouragement of her teachers and mentors, helped confirm her passion for science and innovation. Her chosen fields reflect a desire to apply creativity and critical thinking to some of today’s most pressing challenges.

A high-performance athlete, Soumaya balanced her swimming commitments with academic achievement, developing resilience, time management skills and discipline. These experiences have helped shape her ability to thrive in demanding environments – qualities that will serve her well as she moves into the world of engineering.
