Vanshika has been part of the BISP community for the past two years, where she has thrived both inside and outside the classroom. With acceptances from universities including the University of Sydney, the University of South Dakota, Hofstra University, George Washington University and the University of Melbourne – where she plans to pursue studies in Mathematics and Neuroscience .

A boarder and academic scholar, Vanshika credits the IB Diploma Programme at BISP with preparing her for the academic intensity of her chosen fields. Her passion for neuroscience and theoretical mathematics was nurtured through Higher Level Biology and Chemistry, which demanded both discipline and depth of understanding. She also highlights the role of BISP’s university counsellors, whose guidance supported her across multiple application processes in different countries.

Vanshika’s leadership at BISP extended beyond the classroom. She served as President and Founder of MedSOC and also hosted a student podcast, showcasing her drive to lead, engage, and inspire. These roles, combined with her academic focus, allowed her to develop independence, organisation, and a voice within the school community.

Reflecting on her journey, Vanshika says that boarding life in Phuket gave her not only independence but a tight-knit community of peers. It’s this combination of challenge and connection that helped shape her resilience, deepen her curiosity, and confirm her ambition to push boundaries in both science and society.
