Note from the Organiser

Dear Players, Coaches and Parents,

On behalf of the British International School Phuket, I would like to extend a warm welcome to the 16th Annual BISP Soccer 7s. BISP is proud to host one of the largest International Schools Football Tournament of its kind with over 1,600 competitors registered from 35 different International Schools.

The BISP Soccer 7s will provide you with many possibilities to challenge yourself individually, and as a team within the context of a competitive environment. In the past years students have had memorable experiences at this tournament and I wish you similar outcomes. I trust that these couple days will be a time of friendship, competition and fun.

You are all ambassadors for your respective schools and regardless of winning or losing it is our goal that everyone plays with respect and sportsmanship. We understand that being part of a team demands commitment that involves both dedication and sacrifice, and we congratulate all competitors for participating in this year’s tournament.

An event such as this does not come without the hard work of many people. I wish to thank the Tournament Committee: Nigel Wheeler, Khun Ann, Khun Wate,  Ms Anchalee and members of each of the following departments: Business, Events, Marketing, Security, Refectory, Housekeeping, Personnel, Procurement, Accounting, Service, Maintenance and Grounds staff. Also thanks to the referees from Phuket Rajabhat University as well as all our students, teachers and parents for their assistance during the tournament. I would also like to send a special thanks to the Head of PE, Ali Gates and the whole PE Department for all their support in the run up to and during the tournament. It is truly amazing how the whole BISP community pull together to host this special sporting event.

Again, welcome to Phuket!

Good luck, play hard, be the best you can be and respect the game!
