BISP is committed to providing an inspiring, dynamic, and supportive learning environment for all students. As part of our ongoing investment in campus development, several exciting upgrades are taking place across the school to enhance the student experience both inside and outside the classroom. From new learning hubs to nature-based play areas, these upcoming improvements reflect our vision for the future of education.

Year 5/6 Upper Primary Hub: New Learning Spaces

Renovation is underway on a brand-new Year 5 and 6 learning space, which will be housed in the refurbished Yon House. This space has been carefully planned to meet the unique learning and developmental needs of upper primary students who will begin using the Upper Primary Hub in August 2025, at the start of the new academic year.

Year 1 Playground: Learning Through Nature

We are thrilled to announce the construction of a brand-new Year 1 Playground, designed as an “outdoor classroom” to foster creativity, movement, and social interaction through nature-based play. Made entirely from natural hardwood, this space has been carefully created with sustainability, safety, and child development in mind.

At the centre of the playground is a wooden playhouse built around existing trees, with climbing elements, a slide, and space for imaginative play. A mini hill and in-ground trampolines encourage movement, balance, and coordination, while a hillside slide connects the classroom to the outdoor space. This new area blends fun, learning, and nature in a safe and inspiring setting.

Senior Study & Wellbeing Centre

Additionally, in response to the evolving needs of our growing Senior School, the former art rooms are being transformed into a purpose-built Senior School Study and Wellbeing Centre. This new facility will offer students a quiet and inspiring space to study, a calm environment for rest and reflection, and a dedicated area where they can connect with university counsellors and access academic support. With student wellbeing and academic success at its heart, the centre will play a key role in supporting daily life and long-term goals for our senior students.

Drama Hub: A New Home for Performing Arts

Lastly, BISP’s new Drama Hub is being designed to inspire creativity and collaboration in the Performing Arts. At its heart is a flexible stage area with seating for rehearsals and small performances, supported by essential backstage facilities including changing rooms, storage, and a sound control space. This purpose-built hub will provide students with the space and tools to explore drama, performance, and production in a professional-style setting.
