Vanshika has been part of the BISP community for the past two years, thriving as both a boarder and academic scholar. She will go on to study Theoretical Mathematics and Neuroscience at the University of Melbourne, having received offers from George Washington University and 18 other US universities, many of which included prestigious Presidential and half-merit scholarships.
Her passion for neuroscience and mathematics was nurtured through the IB Diploma Programme, particularly in Higher Level Biology and Chemistry. These subjects challenged her to think deeply, work with discipline and engage with complex systems. Vanshika also highlights the valuable support of BISP’s university counselling team, who guided her across diverse application processes with care and clarity.
At BISP, Vanshika embraced leadership both in and out of the classroom. She founded and served as President of MedSOC, hosted the BISP Educational Podcast, and was recognised as a Dr Arthrit Ourairat Academic Scholar. These roles allowed her to lead discussions, share knowledge and connect with peers through academic engagement and service.
Reflecting on her journey, Vanshika says boarding life gave her more than independence. It offered a close-knit community where she could grow, take initiative and challenge herself. Now, she steps into the next chapter ready to push boundaries in science, society and thought.
