As we look back on the 2024–25 academic year, BISP celebrates the remarkable experiences, achievements and growth of its Secondary students. This has been a year defined by intellectual curiosity, personal development and a strong sense of community spirit.
Learning beyond the classroom
From academic rigour to creative exploration, students across all year groups embraced a wide range of learning opportunities. Whether investigating literature, solving complex problems, conducting experiments or presenting at Model United Nations (MUN) conferences, students demonstrated engagement and perseverance. This year also marked outstanding success in external competitions, with notable results in the British Physics Olympiad, Perse Coding Challenge and Southeast Asian Mathematical Olympiad. In every subject, students approached challenges with critical thinking and an eagerness to learn.
A vibrant and active community
The Secondary school was brought to life through a diverse calendar of events, trips and celebrations. Year-level camps, fieldwork excursions, and cultural events such as International Day and Chinese New Year helped students deepen their understanding of the world and their place within it. The energy of Sports Day, the colour of Spirit Week, the creativity of student-led projects, and the talent showcased in theatre productions and music performances all reflected a vibrant student body committed to participation and collaboration.
Personal growth and leadership
Across the school, students demonstrated resilience, empathy and leadership. House Captains and student leaders played an active role in shaping community events, while Wellbeing Days and Mental Health Awareness Week encouraged open conversations and reflection. From the International Award expedition to peer-led initiatives, students showed independence, initiative and support for one another, fostering a culture of care and responsibility.
As BISP applauds the many accomplishments of its Secondary students, it also recognises the quiet efforts that often go unseen – the teamwork, dedication and perseverance shown day by day. Whether moving on to new schools, transitioning into university or returning for another year, students take with them not only knowledge, but the confidence and character to thrive in the years ahead.
