As the academic year draws to a close, our Year 12 students took part in an engaging CAS workshop designed to support reflection and forward planning. The session featured a “CAS Speed Dating” activity, where students rotated through a series of timed peer-to-peer conversations. This format encouraged them to confidently share their achievements across the creativity, activity and service strands, while gaining new ideas and inspiration from the diverse experiences of their classmates.
Students reflected on a wide range of CAS experiences, including coaching youth sports, organising beach clean-ups and leading creative service projects such as Refusion and various donation initiatives. These reflections not only celebrated individual growth but also highlighted how students are developing IB learner profile attributes and making meaningful contributions to their communities.
The activity helped students articulate their experiences clearly and concisely, prompting them to consider their CAS journey so far and identify areas for further development. In addition to building stronger connections with peers, the workshop served as an important checkpoint as they prepare for the final year of the IB Diploma Programme.
The event concluded with students setting personal goals for the summer break, ensuring they remain engaged with CAS and continue to grow as active, balanced and globally minded individuals.
