The BISP community is preparing to recognise World Mental Health Day under the theme “Sharing Inspirations, Kindness and Strategies.” The global theme, Sharing Resources, serves as a reminder that connection and collaboration are essential for wellbeing, both within and beyond our school community.
Across Primary, Secondary and our parent community, a variety of activities will encourage everyone to reflect, share and learn practical ways to support mental health, for ourselves and for one another.
In Primary, students will take part in Kindness Corner, Mindful Magic and Coping Strategies sessions with our counsellors, exploring empathy, self-awareness and techniques for managing emotions.
In Secondary, students will organise a Bake Sale for Mental Health during morning break, raising funds for charity while spreading positivity through handwritten notes and a “positive thoughts” post box. A display board in MTB will also feature messages of encouragement and support shared by students throughout the day.
Our Parent Workshop, led by School Counsellor Ms Alyssa Temple, will take place on Friday 10 October at 8:15 a.m.in the Auditorium, giving families the opportunity to discuss mental health, discover helpful strategies and share experiences in an open, supportive setting.
World Mental Health Day is a reminder that wellbeing is a shared responsibility, one that grows stronger through empathy, kindness and community. At BISP, we look forward to continuing these conversations and caring for our minds and one another every day.
