Katie has received offers from some of the world’s most prestigious institutions, including the University of Cambridge, The London School of Economics and Political Science, the University of St Andrews and the University of Warwick. At the University of Cambridge, she plans to study Human, Social, and Political Sciences – a field that reflects her deep interest in society, communication, and global thought.
Having joined BISP two years ago, Katie quickly became a central figure in the school community. Her passion for learning has always been clear, but it was through the vibrant academic culture at BISP that her love for learning with others truly flourished. From spirited debates in History to collaborative breakthroughs in Maths, and from production rehearsals to leading the MUN club, her experience has underscored the value of connection and shared scholarship.
Katie served as Head Student and Head of MUN, roles that enabled her to support student voices and guide meaningful discussion across the school. These experiences, along with her academic drive, gave her the confidence to apply to highly competitive programmes that value both critical thinking and collaboration.
Reflecting on her journey, Katie shares that while solitude helped her achieve top marks during the Covid-19 period, it was community – the shared growth and conversation – that reignited her passion for knowledge. It’s that environment she’ll miss most at BISP, along with a warm nod to the school’s legendary banoffee pie.
