We’re excited to share that members of the BISP community, including students, parents and staff, are warmly invited to attend PHIST 2025, Asia’s largest sustainability learning event for the hospitality and tourism industry.

Now in its eighth year, PHIST (Phuket Hotels for Islands Sustaining Tourism) brings together students, professionals and thought leaders from across the region for a full day of learning, discussion and collaboration. The 2025 edition will be held on September 1st at Angsana Laguna Phuket, and registration is free and open now.

A Unique Opportunity for Students, Parents and the Community

This year’s event includes a student-led morning workshop designed by and for students, offering a valuable platform for youth voices to engage in meaningful conversations about sustainability.

Of particular interest to students may be the 9.00 am workshop session run by Dusit Thani College students: “Youth-Led Sustainability Workshop – Making Your Ideas Into Reality”, an interactive, youth-led session designed to help students turn sustainability ideas into actionable projects. Through engaging activities such as icebreakers, real-life inspiration, group discussions and hands-on idea building, participants will explore environmental or social issues that matter to them and develop practical solutions.

There will also be video competitions, exhibitions and masterclasses that may interest parents and other members of the BISP community. In addition to panel sessions and talks, the exhibition area includes local vendors, farmers and non-profit organisations — a great space to explore sustainable connections and solutions.

We encourage anyone with a passion for the environment, sustainability, tourism or design to attend and take part in the conversation. As a school that values global citizenship, creativity and innovation, BISP is proud to share this opportunity with the wider community.
