Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

We are pleased to share that karting has been introduced as part of the BISP Ignite Enrichment Programme. Offered in collaboration with Formula Fun Karting Academy (Phuket), this activity provides students with a structured and well-supported introduction to motorsport, combining technical understanding, physical preparation and practical driving experience.

The programme follows a Four Station Rotation Model, which includes:

  • Theory: An introduction to racing principles, safety and basic vehicle dynamics.
    • Physical Fitness: Activities that develop coordination, reflexes and overall readiness for driving.
    • Karting and F1 Simulator: A chance to apply real-track concepts through simulator practice and simple telemetry.
    • Race-craft On Track: Guided driving sessions aimed at developing consistency, control and confidence.

Students who demonstrate commitment and interest may also progress through a development pathway that can lead to participation in national and international karting competitions. We currently have one student training with the Phuket Academy who is competing in the Thai Nationals through this pathway.

Karting is a unique addition to our ECA offerings, providing an engaging environment where students can challenge themselves, build new skills and experience a different form of sporting discipline. Families wishing to register should complete one sign-up form per applicant. For questions or further information, please contact the Formula Fun team at [email protected].

Alongside karting, families are reminded that BISP offers a wide range of paid activities across sport, the arts and creative learning. Although the main sign-up period for Term 2 has now closed, a limited number of places remain in selected activities for those who may still wish to join.

The full Paid Activities Brochure is available below for parents to review the options currently offered, including dance, football, tennis, gymnastics, swimming, cooking, coding and more. Families who are interested in any of these programmes are encouraged to reach out to the providers listed in the brochure for availability and further information.
