Learning at BISP extends far beyond the classroom. With more than 200 extracurricular activities (ECAs) on offer, students have an exceptional range of opportunities to explore new interests, develop their talents and discover new passions.
From competitive sport and performing arts to robotics, leadership and creative pursuits, the programme combines school-led clubs included in tuition with specialist fee-based activities. Whether students are discovering something for the first time or working towards ambitious personal goals, there is something for every age, ability and interest.
From Trying a New Sport to Training at the Highest Level
Sport is a major part of life at BISP, with opportunities ranging from recreational activities to structured, high-performance training.
The school’s four Sports Academies, Tennis, Swimming, Football and Golf, provide coaching and development pathways for students at different levels. These include intensive swimming programmes offering up to 25 hours of training per week, year-round football and tennis training, and golf sessions using GC3 Launch Monitors alongside on-course experience at Loch Palm and Red Mountain.
Beyond the academies, students can explore a wide variety of sporting activities, including basketball, athletics, volleyball, badminton, judo, gymnastics, parkour and even flying trapeze. Specialist options such as Formula Fun Karting Academy add further variety to the programme.
Exploring Technology, Innovation and Leadership
For students who enjoy problem-solving, experimenting and exploring new ideas, BISP offers opportunities that extend learning into practical challenges and competitions.
Through VEX Robotics, students can design, build and develop robots while preparing for competitions across Thailand. AI coding, Minecraft Builders of the Future, hands-on science challenges and Design & Technology workshops provide further opportunities to experiment and create.
Students can also develop their communication, analytical and leadership skills through Model United Nations (MUN), the Wharton Global High School Investment Competition and the International Linguistics Olympiad (IOL).
Creativity, Performance and New Skills
The arts offer another avenue for students to express themselves, collaborate and build confidence.
From school productions such as The Wizard of Oz to Concert Band, Rock Bands and creative workshops including Stitch & Switch sustainable crafting, students can explore music, theatre and hands-on creative projects.
The programme also includes cooking, entrepreneurship and brand-building activities, encouraging students to develop practical skills and explore interests beyond their usual subjects.
Academic Enrichment and Future Pathways
Extracurricular opportunities at BISP are not limited to discovering new hobbies. Students can also access subject-specific support and enrichment activities that complement their academic learning.
These include opportunities in IB Economics, History and Psychology, as well as Geography, Mandarin, Spanish and English. Public Speaking and Debate clubs help students develop confidence in expressing their ideas.
For older students, dedicated university application bootcamps provide additional support as they prepare for the next stage of their education.
