The 2025 BISP Sports Awards brought the school community together for an afternoon filled with pride, humour and heartfelt recognition. Held in the auditorium, the event celebrated not only student achievements but also the values that define sport at BISP: perseverance, teamwork and character.

BISP Student-Athlete Representative Zac opened the ceremony with a speech that perfectly captured the mood of the occasion. With warmth and honesty, he thanked parents for their early morning drop-offs and constant support, joked affectionately about teammates, and reflected on the demanding balance between sport and school. “Tonight isn’t just about the trophies,” he said. “It’s about celebrating growth, resilience and the memories we’ve made this year.”

The event carried us through a range of awards, beginning with a celebration of sportsmanship. It was a reminder that character, respect and how we support others are just as important as results. From there, we moved into the academy and age group categories, recognising students who’ve shown consistent commitment, growth and passion across the year.

What stood out throughout the presentations was the personal tone of each speech. Coaches and staff shared anecdotes that highlighted more than performance. They spoke about leadership, attitude and the quiet effort that often goes unseen. Many students were recognised not just for competing at the highest level, but for the way they train, support their peers and carry themselves as role models.

The ceremony also featured special performances by a student-athlete band, a vibrant display of talent, teamwork and creativity that added a celebratory energy to the afternoon and reminded everyone of the many ways our students shine beyond sport.
