This week, many of our students from Year 7 to Year 13 took part in online Maths challenges.
Several students in Year 7 and 8 competed in the 2020 FOBISIA Online Mathematics Competition over a three-day period. Students earned points by answering questions across a range of Key Stage 3 and 4 aligned Maths lessons.
About 40 of our top IB Maths students also competed in the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust (UKMT) Senior Mathematics Challenge. The 90-minute test consisted of 25 extremely challenging Mathematics questions which are designed to test the problem-solving abilities of the best young mathematicians from around the world. This year was the first year where students competed online.
